It is learnt that the situation arose when a metro train carrying passengers towards Bengaluru City from Nayandahalli and a metro train on trial on newly opened Phase II metro track on Magadi route was coming from the opposite direction near Vijayanagar. Soon after the trains stopped the panicked passengers rushing out of the train and got inside the medians. Miscommunication between the loco pilots and the technical team of BMRCL led to the situation, sources said. However, Pradeep Singh Kharola, Managing Director, BMRCL “It was just a drill and there was no chance for accident,” said.
