He was speaking at the the development review meeting of various departments here at Deputy Commissioner's office. In order to verify the proceedings of Gram Panchyats, Dakshina Kannada distirct in-charge secretary Bharat Lal Meena suggested district administration to come up with a separate software. This suggestion was put forwarded during the development review meeting of various departments here at Deputy Commissioner's office. While addressing the meeting he opined, “if the separate software would be installed, it is possible to aware how the development works has been implemented in a particular Gram Panchayat, what measures it has taken during the violation of Act among others. The concerned person at the Gram Panchayat shall upload information and photos of the work, which shall be connected to the software of DC office to ensure no violation”, he said. ZP road: No maintenance DK Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Srividya informed that there were 7,916 km road in district limits and earlier government use to earmark Rs 10 lakh annually, for the maintenance of the road. “ However, government has stopped to release amount to the maintenance of the road, due to which the condition of the road turned into pathetic”, she added. Responding to the issue Meena asked CEO Srividya to verify whether the maintenance of the road would be possible by using the fund of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). He also asked the district administration to the arrange bus service to Pilikula Biological Park at least once in half-an-hour which would helps to boost the tourism. When the Public Works Department (PWD) officials informed that 42 development works are stopped as the election code of conduct imposed in the district, Meena asked the officials to complete the development works undertaken prior to the announcement of the election. Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim informed about the status of the work on installing pipeline to the Padoor- Permude underground strategic petroleum reserves, proposed busstand at near Mahaveera circle, new DC office among others. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar and MCC Commissioner Gopalakrishna among others were present.
