The conference will exclusively concentrate on the deliberations and lectures pertaining to "patient safety in obstetrics.” Addressing a press conference here on Friday Dr. Prema D'Cunha, Organising Chairperson of the conference said, "Health care outcomes have significantly improved with the scientific discoveries of modern medicine. But these benefits are significant risks to patient safety also. Patient safety is a global and regional health issue affecting all kind of health-care system whether in developed or developing countries. A change of culture over time is sought for sustainability purposes. The conference in Father Muller Medical college will discuss and seek the way to change the prevailing problems ", said Dr. Prema D'Cunha, Organising Chairperson. Dr. JoyceeVas, Organising Chairperson, Dr. Alveera D'Souza, Treasurer, Dr. Prajna Kumar were also present on the occasion.
