Several parts of the district witnessed heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunder. As a result, a tree was uprooted on Attavar main road. Complaints of water-logging were on the rise near Kottara junction and on the Kulur bridge affecting the traffic on the Mangaluru-Udupi stretch of the National Highway. Meanwhile, Commandant of Coast Guard, Karnataka, K Ajay has issued a warning to fishermen against entering the sea in the next 24 hours.
