Netravathi Rakshana Samyukta Samiti has convened the bandh. Addressing a meeting convened by the Samiti here, former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty said despite holding many protests the government is going ahead with the project. May be a district bandh will convey the message effectively, he added. Kemaru seer Eesha Vittaldas Swami, Vajradehi mutt seer Rajashekharananda Swamiji and Muslim Central Committee president K S Mohammed Masood were present.
