ICAS, Manipal, celebrates annual day

Submitted by alvin on Wed, 2016-03-23 20:01 Manipal: Manipal University held its Annual Day and Awards Ceremony of International Centre for Applied Sciences (ICAS) at Chaitya Hall, FIVV Hotel.Dr. Michelle Luxon, Head of Overseas Programmes, Lancaster University, UK, was the Guest of Honour. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Michelle said, “Whichever way you experience a new culture, whether you are quick to adapt or not, it is the differences between cultures that teach us so much about life as they give us a different perspective, a new way of looking at the world.Dr Michelle listed the four vital characteristics of successful entrepreners: “positivity”, “courage to face challenges”, “determination” and “resourcefulness”.Chief Guest Anshul Mittal, Executive Director of Mittal Appliances Limited, Indore and an alumnus of ICAS of 1995-97 batch urged the students to embrace values like meritocracy, honesty, rule of law and fear of god in their career.Dr. H Vinod Bhat, Vice-Chancellor of Manipal University, presided over the function. Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, Director of ICAS read the annual report. Dr. B. Ramjee, Director of International Collaborations, Manipal University was present.
