Recently, Veerappa Moily had asked the media not to give credence to the words of former chief minister SM Krishna and Janardhana Poojary, saying their old age was responsible for their bizarre remarks. In retaliation, Poojary on Sunday asked Moily to keep silent, reminding him that he was 77 years old. Poojary said instead of showing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah the right path, Moily was blaming him and SM Krishna over Siddaramaiah’s wrist watch issue. "Though Moily asked him [Siddaramaiah] to reject our suggestions, Siddaramaiah found some truth in our suggestions and declared the he would auction his wrist watch and utilise the amount on social services. If Moily keeps on insulting me, I will reveal his past history after ZP and TP polls,” said Poojary. Criticising former chief minister Jagadish Shettar and state BJP president Prahlad Joshi for barging into the office of the Dharwad DC, Poojary sought an apology from the two for their deplorable behaviour. “Police had to take a decision when they found a candidate violating election code of conduct. It is shameless to blame police and barge into commissioner’s office to mount pressure on them. Both leaders should apologise for their act,” he said.
