Submitted by Subeditor on Tue, 2016-01-26 18:11 Mangaluru: With an aim to popularise Beary language, the Beary Sahitya Academy has come up with its first rough copy of Beary-Kannada-English dictionary. Professor B M Ichlangod, Editor, Beary-Kannada-English dictionary, Abdul Rehman Kuttettoor and Zohara Abbas handed over the first rough copy to Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy president B A Mohammed Hanif here on Monday. The Academy president BA Mohammed Hanif said that the advisor Committee headed by Professor B A Vivek Rai compiled many Beary words and the rough copy of Beary-Kannada-English dictionary has been prepared. The final copy will be printed and released by September 30, 2016. The Academy members Hameed Padubidri, K Iddinabba Beary, Yousuf Vaktar, A A Ayesha Perla were also present on the occasion.
