Submitted by Editor on Sat, 2016-01-16 21:06 Mangaluru: A 32-year-old daily wager was found dead in Nethravati river in Uppinangady on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Santhosh alias Santhu of Barimaru near Mani. Sources in Uppinangady police station said, Santhosh was a drunkard and had been working as a daily wager in Uppinangady surroundings. He was found floating in the river near Uppinangady bridge on Friday evening. On noticing this, the local people informed Uppinangady police and later he was fished out from the river. Police suspects that as he was might have slipped into the river in a drunken state and drowned. A case has been registered at the Uppinangady police station in this regard.
