Yashpal A Suvarna has been removed from his post on charges of misappropriation of funds under Section 29 (C) of Cooperative Act by the Joint Regsitrar of Cooperative Societies Court, Mysuru. Apart from Yashpal, 9 board members of the Federation have also been dismissed under the Act. Praveen B Naik, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Udupi has been appointed as the Administrative Officer. Yashpal Suvarna who was a working as a recovery agent for banks and finances earlier in Udupi was in news for allegedly illegally seizing an autorikshaw of Ismail Kadiyali and assaulting him. Yashpal is said to have threatened Ismail with life too. Yashpal is also an active BJP worker and Hindu Yuva Sene leader. This is not all. Yashpal was also the prime accused in the assault and nude parading of a Muslim father and son at Adi Udupi. CoD had investigated into the issue. When Bfirst.in called Yashpal denied dismissal saying, "It is a political game to target me as I am the only elected leader heading the Board and Congress has no one to challenge me. Since I am a BJP follower, there are many attempts to push me down from my chair. This time someone has filed a petition against me on which I have brought a stay. But I failed to attend JR court hearing in Mysuru on January 4 and 6. Later, I was served a show cause notice. But I am confident of saving my post which I lawfully gained through election held seven years ago".
