Submitted by Editor on Fri, 2015-12-18 23:02 Mangaluru: Usha Shetty (29), an employee of Mandovi Motors and a resident of Veeranagar in Ullal, who had gone missing on Thursday evening, was found dead in a gorge near Kodamanithaya temple at Yekkar in Kateel on Friday. Her body is partially burnt. According to her colleagues, Usha had left office in the afternoon saying that she would go to the temple. However, when she did not return home till late in the evening, her husband Ashwin Shetty called her office only to find out that she had left office early. Subsequently, he filed a missing complaint at Mangaluru Rural station on Thursday night. On Friday evening, a few passersby found a woman’s partially burnt body near Yekkar. Immediately, they informed the Bajpe police. A kerosene can, a water bottle and a bag were found near the body. Her mangalasutra and mobile phone were intact in her bag. Police also found a death note, which reads that her children should not suffer like her. Upon verification, it was found out that it was Usha’s body. Usha was going through a phase of depression, reportedly. She has left behind two daughters-one aged four years and another is nine months. It is not yet clear why she had to go to Yekkar. Bajpe police is investigating.
