Keralite Robbed Of 25 Lakh in Mangalore

Submitted by Newseditor on Sun, 2015-12-13 21:00 Mangaluru: A robbery case has been registered in Mangaluru rural police station on Wednesday. The unidentified robbers abducted a man from Kerala and robbed his cash of Rs 25 lakh. Though the incident tookplace on Wednesday, the victim managed to file complaint on Saturday night, police said. According to the police, complainant Zubair (26),  a resident of Kozhikode had reached Mangaluru from Mumbai by train on Wednesday in the afternoon. He was carrying Rs 25 lakh with him and was waiting for a bus near Pumpwell to get a Kasargod bus. Meanwhile, four unidentified persons allegedly arrived in a four-wheeler and forcibly pulled him inside. Later they drove him towards Mangalore-Bangalore highway direction. They robbed his money near Maripalla before pushing him out of the car. Police said that Zubail was carrying the cash, which was given by his owner, who runs a lodge in Mumbai. Now the police are clueless on why Zubair has filed case after four days. Managaluru Rural Police are investigating the case.
