Submitted by alvin on Mon, 2016-05-16 18:07 Mysuru: Home minister G Parameshwar, on Monday, refused to comment over dalit chief minister row instead stated that the issue will be considered during election. For, there are more important issues like drought before the government to work on. He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a book release programme in Mysuru on Monday. He said this year the state has been severely affected by drought. The drought review committee has identified 136 taluks as severely affected out of 176 taluks. The Centre has released Rs 1,500 crores and the state government has spent Rs 1,000 crores towards drought relief. He further said that providing clean drinking water in drought-hit areas is the priority of the government and is hoping that monsoon will hit in a few days. On Cabinet reschuffle, Parameshwar said that it will be decided by High Command and chief minister and refused to speak anything further on it.
