It's time the anti-superstition bill was tabled, says minister

Submitted by alvin on Mon, 2016-05-16 17:33 Mysuru: Revenue Minister V Srinivas Prasad was of the opinion that it’s high time the state government passed the anti-superstitious bill on the lines of Maharashtra government. He was speaking after launching ‘Mareyadiru Bharatha’ authored by Dr M Kannika here. He further said that the society is still not ready to accept Ambedkar’s ideologies. “Unless Puna Pact is implemented, discrimination of dalits will not stop,” he added. Emphasizing that political power empowers oppressed class, Home Minister G Parameshwara said the community should take active participation in politics. “This is key to have your voice in the society,” he added.   "If dalit leaders like Minister V Srinivas Prasad and I were not in politics, the community could not have been given more importance,” he added.
