That is TechSparks 2015 for you, a collective of entrepreneurs unleashing their ideas that kickstarted cutting edge products. After a hackathon on Thursday, the event graduates to talks and panel discussions here on Friday and Saturday at Hotel Sheraton Grand in Malleswaram. Actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kunal Kapoor, T V Mohandas Pai, and cricketer Murali Karthik are part of the line-up of entrepreneurs. The focus this year is on India’s billion-strong consumer base. As media tech platform YourStory, the brain behind TechSparks put it, “With a domestic market that size, start-ups have an opportunity to build large, meaningful businesses at home.” In all, the second and third days will feature over 40 speakers. TechSparks 2015 will also feature several workshops on current trends in technology and training that new startups need.  Workshops cover various aspects of Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud, Mobility, Design Thinking, Communication Strategy, Fundraising, Money Management, among others. Deccan Herald is the event’s media partner.  Panel discussions on Day 3 (October 31) will focus on topics such as ‘Beyond the noise: Who will win the foodtech battle?’, ‘Home secrets to growth hacking’, ‘Decoding the thesis for Indian startups’, and ‘Game of GMVs’.  YourStory CEO Shradha Sharma had this to say on the theme: “The things we lack bring the biggest opportunities for us as entrepreneurs and as a country. And the drive to get what we want fuels us to go farther. Imagine what that fire, that drive can do when it sets out to change the lives of a billion people. We have big problems in India, which also means there is a huge market right here at home for people who want to make a difference. Any solution will have a billion takers.”
