Karnataka gets its first National Cyber Defence Research Centre

Submitted by Newseditor on Sun, 2015-12-13 20:14 Bengaluru: TB Jayachandra, Minister of Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Higher Education, Karnataka unveiled the first National Cyber Defence Research Centre, here at Bengaluru, which was sanctioned to PES University by National Cyber Safety and Security Standards on Sunday.Addressing the participants, he mentioned that gobal regulatory framework needs to be devised cyber security and cyber law. He also narrated various activities taken by government of India and Karnataka in this regard.  MR Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University congratulated the organising team from NCSSS led by  S Amar Prasad Reddy and PES University team led by KNB Murthy  in organizing the summit. He mentioned that younger generation should take responsibility for betterment of mankind. Further, he stated that NCDRC centre at university must emerge as centre of National Importance in combating cyber crimes and help law enforcement agencies in cyber crime investigations.S Amar Prasad Reddy, Additional Director- General, NCSSS (Autonomous Body, Government of India) discussed about the need for cyber security and highlights about day-1 deliberations.A Memorandum if understanding between National Cyber Defence Research Centre (Monitored and controlled by National Cyber Safety and Security Standards),India and Cloud Security Alliance APAC(Asia Pacific) was signed to strengthen the Cloud Security in India and also to promote the Cloud Computing In SMEs Sector.BK Patel, Former Judge – Orissa High Court of Odisha
