Manipal research team bags first prize

Submitted by Subeditor on Thu, 2016-02-11 17:37 Udupi: A research paper jointly authored by Dr KR Pillai, Professor and Research Coordinator, School of Management and Shobana Sivaraman, an MBA student of the School of Management, Manipal University, Manipal, has bagged the first prize at the 2016 Global Summit on Management Cases organised jointly by the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, and the Economics Times on Feb 5 and 6.Their case study “WOSCA: An Emulative Saga of Social Enterprise” tells how the NGO, WOSCA, working in a remote and inaccessible tribal belt of Odisha has been ensuring livelihood security, community empowerment and environmental safeguards.
