Our beauty catcher is Ashton Raymond Castelino, a 9th grade student of Asian School in Bahrain. The number of beauties he has captured are many and all in his camera! He developed a passion towards photography at a very young age and has captured the beauty of Bahrain City in his camera lens in a very professional manner. His family originally hails from Moodubelle in Udupi district of Karnataka. He has captured the picturesque beauty of Bahrain with his Canon EOS 650D during his leisure time. Though Bahrain is a small nation, comprising a population of about 12 lakh, the welcoming nature and friendly attitude of this Kingdom has been well recognised by the globe. Out of the 12 lakh population here, 6 lakh are expatriates, who are well received and respected by the citizens and government of Bahrain. And of course, among expats, majority are Indians, constituting almost 60 per cent of the total expats. Ashton, who stepped into Bahrain about five years ago, got his camera as a gift from his dad, Arun Castelino. He was studying in 7th grade when he befriended the camera. After that, wherever he travelled in the Kingdom, camera was his constant companion. Later his dad, who works for a private firm in Bahrain, noticed him clicking nice photographs and upgraded his camera with a new lens. Interestingly, no one taught him how to click photos. "I learnt photography with my own experiments," comments the high school boy, expressing his willingness to learn more and more techniques in photography.
