Milner's penalty guides Liverpool past Swansea

Submitted by Subeditor on Mon, 2015-11-30 09:33 London: England mid-fielder James Milner's second half penalty gave Jurgen Klopp his first home league win as Liverpool defeated Swansea 1-0 in the Premier League clash at Anfield. None of the sides had a shot at the target in the opening 45 minutes as Liverpool struggled to pick a way through Swansea's five-man midfield. The only game of the match came in the 62nd minute after Neil Taylor was penalised when the ball struck his elbow as he turned his back on a cross, the Guardian reported. With the win, the Reds have now moved up to the sixth spot in the points table and stand only six points behind Manchester City at the top of the league. Klopp's side were also boosted by the return of captain Henderson and striker Sturridge, who were both introduced as substitutes in the second half. (ANI)
