Submitted by Editor on Sat, 2016-05-07 00:14 Bengaluru: Managements of 22 private colleges in Karnataka that offer medical and dental courses have decided to cancel COMED-K UGET scheduled on May 8 in its 22 member institutions following the Supreme Court direction. COMED-K chief executive AS Shrikanth confirmed that COMED UGET for admissions to medical and dental courses won’t not be conducted on Sunday. But UGET for engineering courses will be held as scheduled. More than 1.20 lakh students had applied for medical and dental courses through COMED-K online UGET this year, 45�igher than last year. The cancellation of entrance exam for medical and dental UGET on Sunday means only only Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics examinations will go on as scheduled. The Biology Paper will not be offered. Highlights - Decision was taken at 10.30 PM on Friday by COMEDK officials after consultation with their legal experts. - All the candidates were informed through SMS, COMED-K officials said.
