Submitted by alvin on Mon, 2016-04-25 19:21 Bengaluru: CID Police on Monday, picked up a Chemistry lecturer of a private college from Yelahanka for his alleged role in II PU question paper leak case. Sonia Narang, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) for CID said that the accused has been identified as Santhosh. However, she declined to share any details with the media in the interest of the investigation. Till now, the CID police have arrested totally 11 persons including medical education minister's special officer Obalaraju. Shivakumara swamy of Tumkur district said to be the kingpin in the case is still at large. According to investigation officers, he was actively involved in more than 10 criminal cases – on the question paper leak cases – registered in the last 10 years. Meanwhile, suspecting a strong nexus between top colleges which promise 100 per cent results and those involved in leaking question paper, the police have already conducted raids on 11 private colleges in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Bellary and other areas. Also, raids were conducted on Narayana college Vidyaranyapura, Chaitanya College Vidyaranyapura, Deeksha college in Yelahanka, Presidency in Kempapura, Brindavan in Sanjaynagar, Royal Concorde in Kalyan Nagar, all in Bengaluru, Narayana College and Chaitanaya college in Bellary, Deeksha College in Tumakuru, Expert College and Mahesh College in Mangaluru.
