According to Ajay Sait, Principal Secretary, Primary and Secondary Education, question papers were not tampered with and the seal was intact when they reached the examination centers. This means the question papers were either copied during printing or while being packed or during the framing of the question papers, said Sait. Explaining the process, Sait said question papers are dispatched to examination centers from the printing press which is located outside the state. From next academic year, question paper bundles will be opened infront of the students and examination halls will be videographed, said Sait. Sait said there would no scope for leak if the staff, numbering around 20,000 to 30,000, followed the standard protocol. He also said that the proposal to deliver question papers online would be considered in the future.
