Submitted by Editor on Fri, 2016-04-22 23:12 Bengaluru: A 27-year-old woman died and three persons sustained burns in a fire at an oil factory near Magadi Road, Seegehalli gate today, on the outskirts of the city. Around 210 employees working in the godown containing inflammable material, noticed the fire at around 10.30 amand alerted the police. Most of them managed to escape the fire, but Gayathri who was trapped in the godown died while three other employees sustained burns. The police have registered a case of death due to negligence and efforts are on to trace the owners of the godown. “We got a call from the oil factory people around 11.47 am. Eight fire tenders were sent to the spot immediately. It took five hours to control the fire,” an official of the fire department said.
