Submitted by Editor on Mon, 2016-04-11 23:10 Bengaluru: Four orphan children, who went to swim in Rangadhama tank at Rangasthala in Dinne Hosahalli village near Chikkaballapur on Monday, 63km from Bengaluru, drowned. Yeshwanth, Anjan, Adi and Narashimamurthy, all aged between 10 years and 12 years and inmates of Manasa Orphanage at Kanajenahalli Gate, went for a swim in the tank to beat the summer heat. The Chikkaballapur police said that the incident came to light at 6.30 pm, when cattle grazers found cloths of children at the tank. Suspecting that something was wrong, they informed the police, who rushed the spot. The police found the four children drowned in the tank, and retrieved the bodies. The Chikkaballapur rural police have taken up a case and further probe is underway.
