Submitted by alvin on Sat, 2016-03-12 10:46 Bengaluru: The Kamakshipalya police have arrested a 46-year-old driver working for the Karnataka government for allegedly raping a woman he had known for several years. The accused has been identified as Nagaraj, a resident of Kamakshipalya, while the victim lived in West Bengaluru with her 10-year-old son. Police said the woman had known Nagaraju for many years with the accused frequently paying visits to the woman's house. The accused had even loaned her Rs 4 lakh recently, said the police. Police sources said that Nagaraj had helped the victim a few years ago to file a case against her husband. Later, he became very close to her. He misused her situation and sexually exploited her, said the police. On Wednesday, the victim filed a complaint with the police accusing Nagaraju of raping her repeatedly for many days. Based on the complaint, the police arrested Nagaraju and subjected him to a medical examination. Later, he was remanded in judicial custody.
