Submitted by rajiv on Thu, 2016-02-18 23:28 Bengaluru: A 11-year-old boy was killed and another sustained injuries when a speeding truck ran over them after knocking down their bicycle on Bazaar street in Kengeri on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Suresh, youngest son of a construction labourer living in Halegevaderapalya and the injured Jeevan, 10, has been admitted to Rajarajeshwari Nagar Hospital. According to the police, Suresh, a Class 6 student in a government school, did not go to school citing ill health. However after his parents left for work, Suresh took Jeevan for a ride on his bicycle. The duo went to Bazaar street and were returning home when they were hit by a speeding truck. While Suresh was crushed to death, Jeevan fell on the side due to the impact and escaped with minor injuries. Passers-by rushed the children to RR Nagar hospital where the doctors declared Suresh as brought dead, while Jeevan was admitted for treatment . The Kengeri traffic police have arrested the truck driver Tangadurai, 48, and seized the truck.
