The entire Central Bengaluru has been out under high alert by the police as a precautionary measure following the recent Pathankot Terror Attack. Some passers-by found a suspiciously lying tiffin box close to a transformer. A civilian alerted the Vyalikaval Police who soon arrived at the spot with bomb squad and sniffer dogs. A tiffin box was suspected to contain explosive device and panic gripped the area fearing a bomb blast. The box was wrapped in a green tap, on carefully opening it, squad members found a chip with Chinese alphabets was seen. A jute bag was also seen in the vicinity. A glass jar with some liquid smelling of alcohol was found and there are unconfirmed reports that a slip in Arabic was also recovered by the squad. However, the suspicions were laid to rest at the first level by sniffer dogs. Later on opening the sack some liquor bottles were found. Though it has been considered a hoax bomb threat, high alert has been issued by the Bengaluru City.
