The incident came to light on Wednesday noon.According to Lakshmi Ganesh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ramanagara district), the deceased are identified as Maregowda (70), his daughter Gowramma (42) and her daughter Sukanya (15)-all residents of Bhimegowdanadoddi. The miscreants attacked the deceased with lethal weapons on Tuesday night. Gowramma and her daughter's bodies were found inside the house while Maregowda's body was found 150 meters away from their residence.“The crime might have been committed at late night and it only came to light the next day around 1pm, when a villager found the bodies. The Harohalli police was alerted about the incident. A case has been registered and investigations are on to find out the motive and culprits behind the incident,” Ganesh said.As of now the police seem clueless about the criminals. “We are completely unaware of the motive behind the murders. We are investigating it in various angles and we will nab the culprits soon,” a police officer said.Police added that Gowramma was widowed about eight years ago and later she moved to her father Maregowda’s farm house along with her daughter. Gowramma and Sukanya have died of multiple stabs with a sharp weapon. Police suspect that Maregowda who was sleeping in a separate room might have woken up when the women under attack screamed and tried to flee from the scene. The killers might have chased him and murdered him outside the house. The police are investigating the case in atleast two angles -property dispute with relatives or spurned sexual favours. “We are awaiting the post mortem to reveal if female victims were sexually abused before the murder,” a senior police officer said.
