Submitted by Newseditor on Sat, 2015-11-14 21:15 Bengaluru: Two bike borne men robbed a 30-year-old employee of IBM after stabbing him with a knife on Jayadeva fly over near BTM Layout on Friday. The accused escaped with a cash of Rs 2,000 and two mobile phones before fleeing the scene.  The victim has been identified as Sourabh Bhattacharya, a native of Kolkota. He has a rented house in BTM Layout I Stage. He is employed with IBM from the last few years.  The police said that the incident took place at around 12.30 am and Sourabh was returning home after the work. He was walking towards Jayadeva Hospital when two men on a Honda Activa waylaid him and robbed him. When he chased the accused and tried to catch one of them, the latter stabbed in the thigh with a knife and the duo escaped. Sourabh raised an alarm and a man in a car rushed to his rescue.  Sourabh was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for stab injuries. Later a complaint was filed with the Mico Layout police. Sourabh has told the police that he can identify the accused as they did not cover their faces when they robbed him. Police have obtained CCTV footage to trace the accused and further investigations  are on.
