Rohit shines as India thump Windies in WC warm-up game

Batting first, India posted a formidable target of 186 on back of Rohit's 98 and Yuvraj Singh's quick-fire 31 off 20 balls. In reply, West Indies could only make 140 in their stipulated 20 overs despite making a solid start. West Indies struggled to built partnerships as explosive batsman Chris Gayle was the top scorer with 20 off mere 11 deliveries. Mohammad Shami, who has been out of the national squad since last year's World Cup with hamstring injury, made his comeback with figures of 2-30. Meanwhile, Pawan Negi, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja shared six wickets among themselves. India will play New Zealand in the opening match of the tournament on March 15 in Nagpur. (ANI)
