Kateel temple walkathon on Sunday

Submitted by Editor on Fri, 2016-01-22 17:33 Mangaluru: Ammanadege Namma Nade, the annual walkathon to Sri Durga Parameshwari temple in Kateel on Sunday. The walkathon of the devotees will commence from Maravoor temple at 6.30 am. During a press conference, the procession committee said, Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel, Kateel temple priest Asranna and Swami K S Nityanand will flag-off the procession. Devotees will be singing devotional song composed by Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli during the walkathon. Devotees arriving from faraway places will be accommodated at Maravoor temple premises and will be provided with breakfast. The South Canara Bus Owners Association will ply buses from select locations to bring the devotees. The drinking water and beverages will be provided during the walkathon. The event will take place under adequate security and a mobile medical care unit will also be moving with the devotees. The walkathon committee president Maravoor Sukesh Shetty Mundaruguttu, Sandeep Shetty Maravoor, Raghav M and Venugopal Putran were present during the press conference.
