(IRCTC) today announced the launch of Executive Lounge at Agra Cantt station that would provide airport lounge-like facilities to train passengers at an affordable rate.The Executive Lounge at Agra which is being launched tomorrow, is second in a series of swanky lounges being set up at major stations, the other being New Delhi, which was started on a pilot basis in Nov 2012.IRCTC Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Dr A K Manocha said the Executive Lounge at Agra has set a new precedent in rail travel, bringing together a bouquet of international standard facilities and services for the travellers."We are enthused by the growing response to the Executive Lounge that is considered a showpiece in our portfolio of passenger amenities," he noted.Modelled on airport lounges, the lounge at Agra Cantt station provides a range of complimentary and paid facilities such as meals on order, channel music, hot beverages (tea/coffee) and soft drinks, round the clock Wi-Fi facility, luggage racks for in-house passengers, wheel chairs, recliners, TV, train information display, Business Centre with fax, printers, desktops, newspapers and magazines, clean toilets and shoe shiners.Spread across 236 square metre and having a seating capacity for 75-80 persons, to be launched in phases, the lounge is located on Platform No-1 of Agra Cantt station.The services of the Executive Lounge will be available to passengers at a nominal entry fee of Rs.100 for two hours and Rs 50 for per additional hour.
